Meet the Founders

Sam Piercy – Cofounder and CEO

Sam is a seasoned technology leader with a robust background in software development, particularly in mobile applications. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Sam has honed his skills across various roles, specialising in Android development and team leadership.

Most recently, Sam served as the Apps Lead at UK based JustPark, where he was instrumental in leading and mentoring internationally based teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. His tenure at JustPark, spanning over three years, saw the successful launch and enhancement of numerous features, culminating in the acquisition of the company by a US entity.

Through his experience as a manager of teams with a mixture of international and home-grown talent, Sam is well-versed in the advantages and potential pitfalls of a diverse, hybrid structure. Buoyed by his own success in fostering such teams and appalled by the lack of knowledge among representatives at current international talent agencies, Sam resolved to create a space where talent and clients alike were skillfully supported throughout their journey.

Ahmed El-Sayed – Head of Talent Acquisition – Egypt

Everything Ahmed touches turns to gold! He has now been acquired twice, once with unicorn BADR (acquired by Incorta) and more recently with JustPark (acquired by ParkHub). As every good engineer should be, Ahmed is constantly learning, but in this field, he surpasses most. He completed a Master’s in Computer and Systems Engineering, achieving an incredible GPA of 3.94 while working full-time, and he is currently pursuing his PhD in machine learning and computer vision.

In his spare time, he has worked on machine learning projects such as emotion-based analysis of Arabic Twitter data, abdominal organ segmentation, and self-driving cars. He has been published twice with research papers in the AI space. He has extensive experience in a wide range of modern tools and practices, including cross-platform, native mobile, and web development.

Through his unrivalled aptitude for learning and technology, Ahmed has become a fantastic mentor and candidate assessor throughout his tenures at multiple companies, making him the perfect person for finding candidates and supporting them throughout their placements. Closely affiliated with Alexandria University and very active in the software development community in Egypt, Ahmed has direct access to the strongest talent pools in the country.

Elphas Khajira – Head of Talent Acquistion – Kenya

Elphas and his wife are prime examples of the opportunities offered by remote work. Through their hard work and dual income from international companies, they have managed to go from renting a flat with their two children to building their own home in a safe area of Nairobi. Elphas gained his roles through a company similar to Tech Talent Global and noticed how the engineering support provided to developers was slowly retracted in favor of profits. He is determined to ensure this support is reinstated for skilled Kenyan professionals and to afford others the opportunity to follow in his footsteps.

With a wealth of software engineering experience spanning fields from ecology to e-commerce to helping fight the COVID pandemic, Elphas brings a rich and diverse background to the table. His contributions to open-source projects further highlight his commitment to advancing technology for the greater good.

Alongside his full-time role, Elphas is an inspiring computer science lecturer at Strathmore University and stays engaged with the software development community across Kenya. His industry experience and involvement in academia make him the optimal choice for selecting and supporting software engineering candidates across Kenya.
